Welcome to Chipping Norton Museum Website

The Museum is situated on the first floor at 4 High St, opposite the Town Hall.  We regret there is no disabled access.   The Museum is funded entirely from public donations, admission fees and committee  fund-raising, with the exception of a grant from Chipping Norton Town Council   The normal opening hours are from 2pm to 4 pm Monday to Saturday from Easter until  end of October, however as the Museum is staffed entirely by volunteers the Museum  may  be closed on certain occasions. If you are travelling specifically to visit the Museum  particularly for research, please contact  the museum beforehand to arrange a suitable  time. From September to May the History Society organise monthly meetings at the Methodist Hall on the second Monday of the month at 2.00pm where speakers entertain with talks on many historical subjects. If you would like to join the History Society or Museum ,   volunteer help or offer donations please contact the: Curator Pauline Watkins (01608 641712) or Jan Cliffe (01608 641057)
There is an admission charge  of £1.50 for adults, children under 16 free and must be accompanied by an adult
